Our range of Areca Palm Leaf products is crafted using naturally fallen, dried sheaths from Betel Nut trees. These trees are primarily cultivated in the Bangladesh for their betel nuts. The inherent aromatic qualities of these palm leaf sheaths lend a distinct flavor to certain dishes when they are used as packaging.

RAW MATERIAL

Our plates are crafted from the naturally fallen leaf sheaths of Areca nut trees, a member of the Palm family. In the absence of collection and transformation into these stylish dinnerware, these fallen leaf sheaths would either be burned or left to naturally biodegrade.

It’s important to note that no trees are felled in this process, making it a completely renewable and sustainable source of raw material.

HEAVY METALS TESTING:

These tests are conducted post-production to detect the presence of heavy metals in our Palm Leaf products, including Iron, Lead, Copper, Zinc, and Aluminium Phosphide. The findings consistently indicate that the levels of heavy metals in our products are well below detectable thresholds, falling within safe limits for food contact.

SENSORY & MIGRATION TESTING:

These tests are conducted to evaluate the migration of substances from our products into the food they contain. The results affirm that our Palm leaf products successfully pass the test, demonstrating their suitability for food contact, both with dry and liquid foods.

BIODEGRADABILITY AND COMPOSTABILITY TESTING:

Our Areca leaf products successfully meet the standards of biodegradability and compostability testing. They are inherently designed to be fully biodegradable and compostable in their natural state and even within controlled composting environments.
